Butterflies have three bodily parts: an abdomen, a head, and four wings. They have six legs as well as frequently colourful wings. Their lengthy antennae are used to detect other butterflies and food. Since they have UV vision, they are able to view flowers differently from humans. On their feet are taste buds! Up to 20,000 distinct butterfly species are thought to exist. Butterflies are cold-blooded; if their body temperature drops too low, they are unable to fly or function normally.
Some gardeners grow certain flowers meant to draw butterflies.
